The Pinewood® InsectSafe technology protects clothing against mosquitoes and ticks in an innovative way. It creates a long-lasting and effective coating in and around the textile fibers that keeps insects away. This environmentally friendly technology is impregnated into our highly functional outdoor clothing. The active insect repellent IR3535® has been used in sprays and lotions for over 30 years and can now be impregnated into textiles, with a durable result!

IR3535 ® (Ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate) from the German Merck KGaA, which is classified as a biocide and is not harmful to fish and other aquatic organisms. It does not affect the ecosystem and it does not leave any traces in the environment. It doesn't kill insects, but makes them disoriented. Classified in the safe category U for humans (including children and pregnant women). Approved by EPA (USA), ECHA (EU) and WHO.
